ITE 2012, Q176. A 32-year-old secretary complains of wrist pain at rest and when holding a pen. She says it feels like her thumb locks up at times. On examination you note tenderness on the radial side of her right wrist. A radiograph shows multiple sesamoid bones around her first metacarpophalangeal joint.
