  • Deep lacerations need repair
  • Consider consult if:
    • Extensive / deep lacerations
    • Significant tissue loss

Rules to Follow

  • Superficial lacerations do not need repair
  • Deep lacerations need layered closure
    • Otherwise may leave permanent cleft
