  1. Ice x 24-48 hrs, then heat
  2. NSAIDs, analgesics, rest, muscles relaxants
  3. Soft cervical collar
  4. Early, increasing levels of activity
  5. If persistent complaints:

Disposition

  1. Home if patient is without neurological findings
  2. Ortho/neurosurg F/U if needed
  3. Evidence of cervical disc herniation needs ortho or neurosurgical referral
